Water Now – Surpasses Social Media Voice of 800 Million People in Support of UN World Water Day

NEW YORK, NY (March 19, 2015) – Water Now, a cause brand created by leading philanthropic producer David Clark, today exceeded a social media voice of more than 800 million, adding more than 260 million people in just seven days. As a partner of UN-Water’s World Water Day, Water Now in support of World Vision Water is the single largest global clean water campaign.

The Water Now global initiative unites dignitaries, celebrities, and social advocates who share a Cause Flash link to donate and support World Vision Water’s endeavor to bring clean water to children in Ethiopia, Rwanda, Mali, Zambia and Mozambique — leading up to UN World Water Day on March 22.

Britney Spears, Alicia Keys, Juanes and Romeo Santos are the latest international celebrities to join the social media call to action. With the retweets and social shares of initial posts by world-renowned influencers such as Sesame Street, Pharell Williams, Sia, Natasha Bedingfield, Fergie, One Direction, Justin Bieber, Pitbull, Jason Mraz, Nick Jonas and Meghan Trainor, an additional 200 million people have been reached, generating an overall social media voice of nearly 1 billion.
