Ellen, Cher, Pitbull and more to tweet for coronavirus tech solutions

With concerts, sports, movie productions, Broadway shows, and nearly all forms of entertainment currently on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, the world’s celebrities are uniting to ask tech leaders to find solutions.
Dozens of famous people will on Wednesday tweet in support of a project known as Call for Code, which is “a call-to-action to the 24 million developers around the world to use their skills and mastery of the latest technologies to solve some of the world’s toughest challenges and drive positive and long-lasting change across the world with their code.” The organization claims it is “the largest tech for social good initiative in history.”
The social media posters include such stars as Barbra Streisand, Quincy Jones, Celine Dion, Ellen DeGeneres, Cher, Michael Bublé, Jeff Bridges, the Jonas Brothers, Fall Out Boy, Pitbull, Kristen Bell and Fergie.
But the momentum behind the initiative kicked off in April with words from Lady Gaga, who recorded a video advocating for the cause that was posted on the IBM Developer Twitter account.
