STAND UP FOR HEROES

ABOUT

In 2007, the New York Comedy Festival partnered with the Bob Woodruff Foundation to create Stand Up for Heroes as a tribute to wounded, ill, and injured veterans and their loved ones. To date, the show has raised more than $55 million for the Bob Woodruff Foundation’s mission to ensure that veterans, service members, and their families thrive in the next chapter of their lives. The Bob Woodruff Foundation was founded by ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff and his family in 2006, after Bob suffered severe head injuries from an explosion while covering the war in Iraq as the Anchor for ABC News.
