Stand Up for Heroes is New York's biggest night of hope, healing and laughter. This annual benefit event presented by the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the New York Comedy Festival and staged at Madison Square Garden, raises funds and awareness in support of wounded, ill and injured veterans and their families.
Since the inaugural event in 2007, Stand Up For Heroes has featured performers and comedians such as Bruce Springsteen, Tony Bennett, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Seth Meyers, Eric Church, Stephen Colbert, Jim Gaffigan, Ricky Gervais, Jimmy Carr, Whoopi Goldberg, John Oliver, John Mulvaney, Trevor Noah, Conan O’Brien, Ray Romano and Robin Williams.

To help promote Stand Up For Heroes and support veterans, service members and their families, a celebrity-driven Cause Flash was launched on Veterans Day. The social media campaign consisted of the aggregated “Social Media Voices” (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram followers) of prominent individuals and organizations with specific messages relating to Stand Up For Heroes that instantly reached the social media feeds of a massive audience of millions of followers and fans.
