David Clark creates the American Thunder Music Festival and produced it during the iconic Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in SD. The inaugural concert staged to promote the Bob Woodruff Foundation was hosted by Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges, who performed with Stevie Nicks and John Fogerty in front of an audience of over 50,000 fans on August 11, 2011.

During the concert, President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and Former President George HW. Bush lent their support to the Bob Woodruff Foundation via a film tribute broadcast to the audience.

American Thunder’s broadcast partners include HDnet and the American Forces Network, which broadcast the concert internationally to over one million active duty men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces in more than 175 countries and U.S. territories, and onboard all U.S. Navy ships around the world.

American Thunder is a proud supporter of the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which provides resources and support to service members, veterans and their families to successfully reintegrate into their communities so they may thrive physically, psychologically, socially and economically. Through a public education movement called www.ReMIND.org, the Bob Woodruff Foundation helps educate the public about the needs of service members returning from war – especially the 1 in 5 service members with hidden injuries such as Traumatic Brain Injury and Combat Stress, including Post Traumatic Stress, Depression and Anxiety – and empowers communities nationwide to take action. To date, the Bob Woodruff Foundation has invested over $9 million, reaching more than 1,000,000 service members, support personnel, veterans and their families nationwide.
